2023 Social Captain: Laura Clarke

Yes, we race and cruise...  but we also gather with no other purpose than to enjoy good food and each other's company.

We also volunteer with Lake Lanier Association's annual "Shore Sweep", a large lake clean-up project held each September.

On 4th Sundays, we host a Member Social and MeetingPlease check the calendar to confirm details and not miss any changes.

This year, we're excited to announce the return of the post-race dirt-up where racers gather together after the races to eat, drink and tell true racing lies.

Dean Holcomb Poker Run & Chili Cookoff
Branch House Tavern (Flowery Branch)

Held New Year's Day... Don't miss the fiercely competitive post-Poker Run Chili/Chowder/Stew/Soup Cook-off.

Awards Dinner

You may not recognize us cleaned up and in our party clothes. Gather as we recognize fellow members with club awards and share the changing of the board.

Blessing of the Fleet
Many thanks to officiants Sheri and Hugh Smith as we resumed our annual blessing ceremony this year.

Joan Holcomb Women Skippers Regatta Awards Ceremony

Cohosted with LLSC, we held the regatta on Saturday, April 22nd. Good wind allowed for two races before becoming too windy. Dana Stewart (many thanks!) graciously hosted this year's awards ceremony as the LLSC clubhouse was undergoing weather-related repairs.

Brunch on the Lake
This year, cruisers enjoyed a delicious brunch on Saturday, May 6th, while rafted up for the First Saturday Cruise.

ialize over Lobster Boil, Smoked Barbeque Half-Chicken, and Veggie Skewers.

*NEW in 2023* - Pirate's Treasure Hunt will be held Sunday, July 16th! Details to be posted closer to the date.

Steak Cookout

Returning Saturday, August 12th, the island steak-out is not to be missed.

Lake Lanier Association (LLA) Shore Sweep

Barefoot Open Regatta's Saturday Night Party
University Yacht Club (new venue!)

Dinner, raffle & silent auction, live music (Thunder Gypsy), and dancing. Arguably even more fun than the racing!
