Joan Holcomb Memorial Women Skippers Regatta (BFSC/LLSC)

Commodore of BFSC 1994 and LLSC 2002.

For the races, a woman must helm the boat. A woman must also make the strategic and tactical decisions for the race. The remainder of the crew can be made up of women and men.

After Joan's untimely passing in 2010, we decided the regatta should be named in her memory. In the decade following, her widow Dean Holcomb was a tremendous supporter of the regatta.  After his unfortunate passing in 2020, his wife, Dee Rosenbaum, took the reins and continues to champion and generously support the event each year.
