We have braved the last 2 weeks of winter temperatures and their deleterious effects on our property and now is the time for us to go back to our warm Southern winter.  The rain is supposed to disappear on Sunday with temperatures in the 50’s.  So this will be a great time for us to have race #2 of the Winter series.  There will be a skipper’s meeting on Sunday at UYC at 11am.
 

If you didn’t sail in the first race, send me an email that you are planning on coming with sail #, PHRF rating and type of boat by Saturday. 
 

If you don’t have a current PHRF certificate, please go to  sail-lanier-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/phrf/PHRFApplication.pdf and fill out the application and contact your representative to file your application or renewal.

 

Take advantage of this much better weather.

LARC #1, Sat. Jan 6, 2024

 

Millions may be bracing for Winter Storm Ember, but for us, it looks like a rainy night and morning with lots of wind.  But all the bad weather should be gone by the skipper’s meeting tomorrow at 11am leaving us with 5mph winds and 40-50 degree temperatures.  Doesn’t look like it will be a sunny day like on New Year's Day, but we can’t have everything!!!!

 

Attached is the NOR/SI for the 2024 LARC season.  Gate at UYC will be open at 10:30 am for skipper’s meeting.
