Lobster Boil

WE WILL RETURN to serving a LIVE MAINE LOBSTER for this event!!!  

Featuring a Low Country Boil with potatoes, corn, shrimp and andouille sausage PLUS your very own 1.5 lb. Maine Lobster! (there are also chicken and veggie options) Prepay online by June 20 to reserve your lobster (were literally counting on you to get the right number).

• BYOB and appetizers will start at 5:00 and dinner will be served around 6:30

• There will be games like shuffleboard, corn-hole, horseshoes, croquet, bocce ball, music and other fun activities… come early and bring your dancing shoes!

• The event will be held at the Holiday Marina Pavilion (same as last year)

• Easy access to parking and restrooms

• We will have early access to the pavilion beginning at 1:00, and there are several volunteer opportunities, sign-up on the barefootsailingclub.org website

• Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share and remember it’s BYO Beer/Wine

• Don’t miss the extra fun… there is a prep day the day before, on Friday, June 23rd to get the food and games ready

MENU OPTIONS:

• Lobster Boil (Potato, Corn, Andouille Sausage, Lobster Tail, Shrimp) - $40
• Smoked Barbeque Half-Chicken from Shane's Rib Shack - $35
• Veggie Skewers (Mushroom, Onion, Tomato, Squash, Peppers) - $30
• Low Country Boil (only) - $25

Each dish includes salad, low country boil (potatos, corn, shrimp and sausage) and dessert. 

Soft drinks and water will be provided, but otherwise, BYOB. Please bring your own reusable water bottle. Thanks!

Also, please sign up to bring side dishes and desserts!  Check the Lobster Boil page for current Guest List w/dishes. When registering, indicate whether or not you mind your name being shown on the guest list. We're showing them by default.

VOLUNTEER:

We could use your help w/setup, prep and clean-up. If interested, please sign-up for a position.

PARKING:

The entrance to Holiday Marina is on the right side of 347, just a few hundred yards BEFORE you get to the Margaritaville (formerly Lake Lanier Islands) entrance, so you will not go thru that or pay a fee.  You will pass the pavilion on the right also, before you get to the Holiday Marina guard gate, so make note of it, as that's where you are heading.  Stop at the gate as a guest and get a parking pass for the pavilion.  Make a sharp right and head up the hill.  You will see a separate building for restrooms next to the pavilion.  Park wherever you find a spot.

IMPORTANT NOTES: 

1) Note, the ticket prices include the cost of security detail required by the marina due to alcohol being consumed at the gathering. That said, we do not wish for this to be a hardship for anyone. If you would like to attend but need subsidized pricing, please reach out to bfscweb@gmail.com.
