About the event
On Saturday, July 13 we will have the Blues and BBQ event at LLSC. This musical event is open to everyone. It will be $30 for BBQ and musical entertainment from the Rick Fowler Band. We will have the BBQ dinner at 6:30 and then from 7-10 pm we will enjoy the music of the Rick Fowler Band. This group brings an original yet familiar appeal to fans of ‘60s and ‘70s rock. The Athens-based blues rock Rick Fowler Band is composed of Rick Fowler (vocals/guitar), Michael Doke (guitar/slide guitar/vocals), Greg Veale (bass/vocals), Deane Quinter (drums) and Tim White (Hammond organ). Together the group presents a raw version of blues rock polished by each member’s know-how of their instrument. Its stories remain accessible and representative of Rick Fowler Band’s collective knowledge and impressive individual histories. Additionally, the Rick Fowler Band can be heard on Spotify and You Tube.
