Go, Team Barefoot Sailing Club!
Sponsored by the UYC Maritime Foundation since 1997, the Lanier Cup is eagerly anticipated by Lanier racers each November. Teams from BFSC, LLSC and UYC fiercely compete for bragging rights and the prized Lanier Cup "Red Hats." A current PHRF certificate of 111 or higher is required. And each club is allowed up to two spinnaker entries.
BFSC captured the cup in both 2016 and 2017 and placed 2nd in 2023!
Saturday, November 1st, Barefoot Sailing Club (BFSC) will send four of our best racers to compete:
Spin:
-
David Pope on Orbit
-
Matt Geiger on Talon
Non-spin:
-
Chris Webster on Perpetual Motion
-
Tedd Meinersmann on Heatherset
