Steak Out

• We are having our annual Steak Out on one of the Lake Lanier islands (TBD).  We will stake out our stretch of beach in advance and will let you know on the day.  Then we will have music, games and food.
• Meet at Aqualand "V" dock at 11:00 AM to drop off your lawn chairs and any other gear you need shuttled over to the island.  Then sail for a couple hours, if you wish.  We will be using 3 pontoon boats to move people and gear to the site.  If you are not planning to bring your own boat, Hop a ride to the island with us on one of the pontoon boats (we will have 2-3).  We can shuttle you back when the party is over.
• Bring a lawn chair, camp table, your beach towel, or whatever you plan to sit and eat on.  You may want to bring a sturdy plate to carve your steak on. We will have paper plates, steak knives and metal forks for carving.
• Sail on your boat or cruise with a friend from 11-3ish, then head to the island for steak, sides and to visit with your favorite Barefoot sailing buddies, OR hang out on the island all afternoon.
• Enjoy a steak with an ear of corn and coleslaw or choose the “Impossible Burger” veggie option.
• Prepay online by September 2nd to reserve your steak and indicate your transportation choice.
• Swim, play cards, horseshoes and bocce ball.
• BYOB
• A privacy tent and camping toilet (advertised weight capacity 433 lbs.), with paper and cleaning supplies will be made available for changing and personal use.  Users will be expected to follow posted instructions, individually bag waste, and leave the facility clean and empty upon exit.
